Frequently asked questions
What happens if the WiFi goes down?
With the lotta WLAN Booster/ IoT Gateway, the system continues to work even without WiFi.
Can lotta also be used offline?
lotta can be operated offline, with the restriction of all functions that are only available online (see property table).
What happens when the battery is empty?
The system displays the current battery level either in the app or on the management portal. When the battery level is low, a notification is sent. If you ignore this, the device goes into emergency mode. In this state, the door can be opened once with the admin card. If this is not possible, the door can be powered by an induction package and can therefore be opened once.
Can the door be opened remotely from outside?
Yes, doors can be opened via the lotta app or the management system, regardless of location.
Can a mechanical cylinder still be used?
Yes, the locks can be equipped with both profile cylinders and round cylinders.
How is functionality ensured in the event of a power failure?
When gateways/WLAN boosters are supported by a UPS, the entire system can function autonomously.
Does opening by approximation work?
Yes, to open the door, you have to hold your badge or mobile phone up to the door.
Can the RFID function also be used with a smartwatch?
Yes, provided that a Mifare RFID can be set up on the smartwatch.
Does the door close automatically after opening?
The system offers various configuration options, which the administrator can set for each door via the app or the management portal: 1. The door automatically closes after a few seconds. 2. The door follows a fixed schedule and remains open after opening for the first time as long as the individual schedule requires. 3. The door remains open after opening and only closes again after a manual closing command.
