Einelektronisches Zutrittssystem setzt keinen Neubau voraus. lotta door control mit Akku kommt ohne Stromzuleitung aus und eignet sich damit besonders für die Nachrüstung, für Wohnungstüren und für den Denkmalschutz. Die Variante mit Direktanschluss ist für Neubauten, Haupteingänge und automatisierte Türen gedacht und steuert zusätzlich Motorschlösser, Drehflügelantriebe, Elektrotüröffner und Fluchtwegterminals. Zuerst prüft eine lotta-Fachperson Türtyp, Schloss und gewünschte Funktionen. Anschliessend wird lotta door control in eine Taschenfräsung auf der Band- oder Schlossseite eingesetzt; bei Mehrfallenschlössern sitzt die Einheit oberhalb des Schlosses oder auf der Bandseite mit abgesetzter Antenne. Je nach Türblatt kommt ein passendes lotta-Schloss zum Einsatz, und ein mechanischer Profil- oder Rundzylinder kann weiterhin verwendet werden. Zum Schluss wird die Tür in App oder Managementportal eingebunden.

Ein Upgrade von Home auf Enterprise ist jederzeit möglich.
Was geschieht bei einem Netzwerk- oder Stromausfall?
Ein Zutrittssystem muss auch dann funktionieren, wenn die Technik rundherum ausfällt. Fällt das Gebäude-WLAN aus, arbeitet lotta mit dem lotta WLAN-Booster / IoT Gateway weiter. Ohne Internetverbindung lässt sich das System offline betreiben; nicht verfügbar sind dann nur Funktionen, die eine Verbindung voraussetzen, etwa die Fernöffnung oder Meldungen in Echtzeit.
Bei einem Stromausfall funktioniert das gesamte System autonom, sofern die Gateways über eine unterbrechungsfreie Stromversorgung (USV) gespeist werden; Türen im Akkubetrieb sind vom Stromnetz ohnehin unabhängig. Wird ein Akku schwach, meldet das System dies frühzeitig. Bleibt die Meldung unbeachtet, wechselt das Gerät in den Notbetrieb, und die Tür lässt sich mit der Admin Card oder über ein Induktionspaket öffnen.
